Admission Requirements

INDIVIDUALS NOT CURRENTLY LICENSED
Prior to enrolling in the #T.E.A.C.H. SPED Program, you must meet the following requirements:

All applicants must submit a complete application, be currently employed by an Indiana School Corporation as a Special Education Teacher AND meet one of the following:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale; or
-
A baccalaureate or graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 point scale, and five (5) years of professional experience; or
-
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution, and proof of passing state approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
INDIVIDUALS CURRENTLY LICENSED
Prior to enrolling in the #T.E.A.C.H. SPED Program, you must meet the following requirements:

All applicants must submit a complete application, be currently employed by an Indiana School Corporation as a Special Education Teacher, hold a current Practitioners License in any area AND meet one of the following:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale; or

A baccalaureate or graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 point scale, and five (5) years of professional experience; or
-
Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution, and proof of passing state approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
